Privacy notice.

This notice explains what information is collected when you join Henrik Gjelstrup's reader mailing list, why it is used and the choices you have. Last updated 13 July 2026.

Who is responsible

Henrik Gjelstrup is responsible for the personal information collected through this author website and newsletter. Privacy enquiries can be sent to hello@henrikgjelstrup.com.

What is collected

When you subscribe, the mailing-list service records your email address, consent choices and technical information needed to document and protect the signup, such as the signup time and IP address. Delivery information, including opens, clicks, bounces and unsubscribes, may also be recorded.

Why it is used

Your information is used only to send the book news, excerpts, works-in-progress notes and publication updates you requested, to manage subscriptions and to understand whether those messages are being delivered. The legal basis for sending the newsletter is your consent.

MailerLite

The mailing list and signup records are managed using MailerLite, which processes this information on Henrik's behalf. MailerLite's own handling of personal information is described in its privacy policy.

How long it is kept

Subscription information is kept while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, the address may be retained on a suppression list so that further newsletters are not sent accidentally, and consent records may be retained where needed to demonstrate compliance.

Your choices and rights

You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to how your information is used. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Website hosting

Like most websites, the hosting service may process limited technical logs needed for security, reliability and delivery of the site. This website does not sell reader information.
